ABOUT CARA-SURE

Cara-Sure (Pty) Ltd was established during the latter part of 2002 following extensive research in the Caravan Industry. On 1 June 2003 Cara-Sure launched the first product, the Cara-Sure Caravan Insurance Scheme and since then thousands of caravaners have entrusted their insurance with us. From the research that was conducted Cara-Sure decided to use the information collected and published a book in 2005, the South Africa Caravan Directory.

On 1 January 2005, Cara-Sure launched three new products, namely Cara-Sure Off-Road Caravan Insurance, Cara-Sure Camper Trailer Insurance and Cara-Sure Motorhome Insurance.

On 1 July 2007 Cara-Sure became an Underwriting Agency acting on behalf of NatSure Limited (formerly, National Insurers). A new company was established namely, Cara-Sure Underwriting Managers (Pty) Ltd. After it’s first year of operation, Cara-Sure Underwriting Managers (Pty) Ltd was Awarded the BEST Underwriting Agency in South Africa.

MANAGEMENT

Ian Lesar, Managing Director and Founder of the Cara-Sure Group has almost 30 years experience in the Financial Services Industry and was the innovator of many Financial Services products such as Dreaded Diseases, Major Medical Insurance and Group Family Funeral Schemes for large Corporations. After 6 years, Ian is still as passionate about Cara-Sure as the first day. All Roadside emergency calls from the CaraCARE Call Center is referred to him and you will personally receive a call if you are stranded next to the road with a flat tyre or running out of fuel.

Erica Lesar, Director and Co-Founder of the Cara-Sure Group has over 30 years experience in the Short Term Insurance Industry. Previously, Erica was responsible for the claims of large vehicle fleets such as ESKOM and AECI. Erica is passionate about service and making sure that your claim is dealt with in a prompt and professional manner.
